The draft of the Business Continuity standard BS25999 was circulated for public comment in July and August of 2006, there were over 4,000 downloads.

The code of practice BS25999-1 launched on the 30 th November 2006 is to be followed by BS25999-2, which will specify the requirements for business continuity management.

The framework for the standard is made up of six core steps:-

  • BCM Policy and Program Management
  • Understanding the Organisation
  • Determining BC Strategies
  • Developing and Implementing a BCM response
  • Exercise, Maintenance and Review
  • Embedding BCM in the organisation’s Culture

This workshop is designed to help organisations better understand the likely impact of this new business continuity framework. We will explore the approaches that organisations can take to bring their own business continuity plans into line with BS25999, and the potential benefits of this to your organisation.

We will also discuss how Kavanagh is developing its own business continuity management program with risk management tools and practices.

Find out how Business Continuity Management and the BS25999 standard can help your organisation by attending one of our workshops hosted by Kavanagh at our offices in Bracknell, London and Wilmslow.
