Overview

Learn how HP Network Node Manager (NNM) Software can be used to maximise your network's availability and performance. In this course you will explore the operational and administrative aspects of NNM on Unix® and Windows® systems. You will learn how to effectively utilise NNM in the successful management of small, medium, or large networked enterprises. This 5-day course is 50 percent lecture and 50 percent hands-on labs.

  • System and network administrators

Prerequisites

  • HP-UX System and Network Administration I (H3064S) and HP-UX System and Network Administration II (H3065S), or equivalent HP-UX hands-on experience.

Key topics

  • Understand the new NNM 7.51 features, such as the new dynamic views
  • Use maps and submaps to develop network architecture that will maximise network performance
  • Troubleshoot problems in an NNM environment and use key concepts to dramatically reduce down time
  • Configure NNM discovery domains (extend and limit)
